I love my work. It is a privilege to be able to tell amazing stories all around the world and work with talented people. This has always been my dream.

 

I grew up in a small town in western Australia, and began a career in broadcasting in Canberra in 2000. I lived for 7 years in Bangkok and Yangon but these days, I call Berlin my home.

 

Whether its working with cutting edge virtual reality technology, or going live on air when news breaks, I believe in stories that motivate people and change their assumptions. You can watch my films on Al Jazeera English, SBS Australia and Contrast VR.

I’ve talked to people smugglers, migrant workers, Presidents and refugees. The stories I tell are positive and creative, often from the perspective of women and always inspirational.

"How do you pronounce your name?" Is a question I'm frequently asked. "Ella"- with a silent A.
